North Tenmile Creek Trail is in the southern Gore Range, part of the Rocky Mountains in the U.S. state of Colorado. It is located in the Eagles Nest Wilderness, Dillon Ranger District, White River National Forest, Summit County. North Tenmile Creek Trail is north of Interstate 70, in Frisco. North Tenmile Creek Trail begins at a trailhead outside Frisco and ascends between Chief Mountain, 11,377 feet, and Wichita Mountain, 10,855 feet, to meet the Gore Range Trail between Uneva Pass and Eccles Pass in the Gore Range. ''Greatest Hikes in Central Colorado: Summit and Eagle Counties'', a hiking guide by Kim Fenske, provides a description of North Tenmile Creek Trail. In summer, diverse wildflowers bloom beside North Tenmile Creek Trail. In the open meadows, aster, mouse ear, paintbrush (Castilleja), Parry Clover (Trifolium parryi), and avalanche lily (Erythronium grandiflorum) bloom. Alpine wildflowers cover the rock ledges, including sky pilot (Polemonium viscosum); Parry lousewort (Pedicularis parryi); alpine Smelowskia (Smelowskia calycina); spotted saxifrage (Saxifragaceae bronchialis); moss campion (Silene acaulis subacaulenscens); and alpine forget-me-not (Myosotis alpestris). == References ==
